Abstract
Objective To explore the aggressive growth characteristics in invasive, proliferative and aged parts of keloid by analysing the Bcl-2 index. Methods Fibroblasts of 12 keloids cases and 12 normal skin cases were investigated by immunohistochemical analysis of Bcl-2.Bcl2 index of difference parts in keloids and normal skin were compared. Results The Bcl-2 index of invasive parts of keloids was higher than those of proliferative and aged parts of keloid and normal skin(q=4.29,P0.05).The Bcl-2 index of proliferative parts in keloids was higher than those of aged parts of keloid and normal skin((q=4.20),P0.05).However there was no siginficant deference between the aged parts of keloid and the normal skin. Conclusion The difference in distribution of Bcl-2 indes may be responsible for the aggressive growth of keloid.
