Geological characteristics of Baifutang lead-zinc deposit and prospecting potential,Guangdong

The Baifutang lead-zinc deposit is situated in the structural junction of Nanling metallogenic belt and Chenhuai metallogenic belt,where the favorable geological stratum and structures distributed as well as lead-zinc geochemical anomalies and organic hydrocarbon halo. There are some lead-zinc mineralization zones and orebodies were discovered by drilling work in the area. On the basis of summarizing geological characteristics,the paper pointed out that there is great potential for finding large-sized deposits in the area from the views of regional metallogenetic background and features and the necessity of conducting the further exploration work to discover the large-sized deposit.
