Effect of Meikasu on Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of meikasu on early diabetic nephropathy and on diabetic nephropathy with normal renal function. Methods We divided 104 patients into treatment group and control group randomly,and compared their UAER,BUN, SCr,MAP and fasting insulin after and before treatment. Results After therapy,the UAER of treatment group was significantly lower than that of control group and than that before treatmen(tP0.01),the BUN,Scr and MAP showed no significant change,and the fasting insulin release was significantly higher than that before treatment and than that of control group(P0.01). Conclusion The treatment of early diabetic nephropathy with meikasu not only can effectively decrease urine protein in diabetic nephropathy,but also can increase treatment effect on diabetes and sensitivity of insulin to effectively control blood glucose.
