Abstract
Objective:To investigate the practicability and clinical efficacy of thoracic sympathectomy with thoracoscope in the treatment of primary palmar hyperhidrosis. Methods:From May 2006 to May 2007,16 cases with primary hyperhidrosis received thoracic sympathectomy with thoracoscope were analyzed retropectively. Results:All the cases of operation were successfully completed.Symptoms of hyperhidrosis vanished with both hands dry and warm in all the patients.The average hospitalization was 2.2 days.No Homer's symdrome,hemothorax,backache were happened.With follow-up from1~12 months(mean 5.9 months),no recurrence was found. Conclusion:Thoracic sympathectomy with thoracoscope possesses a good efficacy,less frauma,quick recovery,few complications and minimal scar in the treatment of primary palmar hyperhidrosis.
