Abstract
In philosophical views, Deng Xiaoping made three great historic contributions to modern China: 1~(st), He established the idea of development on economic contribution, thus enriched and developed Marxist historical materialism; 2~(nd), He established the systematic ideas of development about focusing on both economic construction and cultural ideological progress and excellence in both of them, and the contradictory ideas of achieving unity in opposites, thus enriched and evolved Marxist materialist dialectics; 3~(rd),He established the idea of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts and enhanced the essence of Marxist philosophy.
