Abstract

With the focus of Deng′s theory of Historic Opportunity,this paper discusses the(philosophical) characteristics of this theory from the following five aspects to applaud the essential of the idea of scientific development and the construction of harmonious society: the dialectical relationships between the necessity and contingency of social development,the Marxist viewpoint on practice,the Marxist theory of jumping development of society,the dialectical relationship between historical resolution and subject selection,and scientific mode of thinking.
