Abstract
Objective To investigate clinical effet of proximal femur locking compression plate fixation(LCP) and dynamic hip screw in treating old patients with intertrochanteric fractures. Methods All of 64 old patients with intertrochanteric fractures were randomly divided into the DHS group and LCP group, with 32 patients in each group. The surgical time, bleeding amount, and fracture healing time and outcomes were observed and compared. Results In the LCP group, the surgical time was(55.2±11.3) min, which was significantly lower than that of the DHS group(84.1±14.5) min(P0.05);the bleeding amount in the LCP group was(102.2±21.5) mL,which was significantly less than that of the DHS group(260.7±42.1) mL(P0.01).The fracture healing time had no significant difference between two group(P0.05).The clinical outcomes had significant difference between two groups(χ2=3.98,P0.05),and the healing ratio was 96.9%(31/32) in the LCP group, which was remarkably higher than 78.1%(25/32) in the DHS group(P0.05).Conclusion Compared with DHS,the LCP could treat old patients with intertrochanteric fractures has less surgical time, bleeding amount, and high fracture healing ratio, thus worth clinical application.
