Abstract
Objective:To investigate the misdiagnostic causes of 460 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Method: The analysis was performed in 460 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated in our hospital from January 1998 to December 2001.Results:The clinical presentation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients includes epistaxis.ear tinnitus . hearing loss. headache, cervical mass and cranial nerve involvement. At the first time of diagnosis, the ratio of misdiagnosis was 87.75% in all patients. Conclusion: The paper showed that it is an important measure to examine the nasopharynx carefully.
