Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of trabeculectomy combined with Intravitreal Ranibizumab and panretinal photocoagulation for neovascular glaucoma( NVG). Method Totally 18 patients( 18 eyes) who were suffering from neovascular glaucoma were taken treatment. All eyes accepted trabeculectomy with Adjunctive Mitomycin C( MMC) combined with Intravitreal Ranibizumab( IVR)0. 5 mg /0. 05 ml). All eyes accepted panretinal photocoagulation. The condition of the new vessels on the the angle of anterior chamber and iris, the intraocular pressure and the visual acuity were observed postoperatively. The mean follow- up was 10 months( 8- 12 months). Results In 6 eyes, the angle of anterior chamber and the iris neovascularization regressed completely within 3 days after trabeculectomy combined with Intravitreal Ranibizumab( IVR). In 10 eyes,it' s within 7 days. Another 2 eyes, neovascularization regressed partly. The mean IOP level was( 44. 80 ± 7. 25 mm Hg) before operation. the mean IOP level of 1 week and 1,4,8 months after operation were( 15.85 ±6.23;16.35 ±2.54;18.27 ±6.13;18.67 ±6.22) mm Hg respectively which were significant different from The mean IOP level of preoperation( P 0. 01). The IOP were controlled completely in 11 eyes( 61%),partly controlled in 4 eyes( 22%),and not controlled in 3 eyes( 17%). Conclusion Trabeculectomy combined with Intravitreal Ranibizumab and panretinal photocoagulation is effective therapy with high achievement rate for neovascular glaucoma.
