Discussion about role of quality manager in blood quality management

Objective:To discuss the role and required qualifications of stations in charge of quality in the management of quality,in order to enhance the quality management and ensure blood safety. Method:From the best quality stations,the strengthening of internal communications and strict supervision,it had been discussed that how quality managers to perform their duties in the quality management to ensure effective implementation of the quality system and sustainable improvements. Result:Our station had working system, appraisal mechanism,operating rules and supervision, and quality system had maintained effective operation.There were no services and medical disputes for four years. Conclusion: Quality managers could play an important role in the quality control. There would be some direct relationship between the blood quality and quality managers. If they pay attention to method,and Have the courage to bear their responsibilities, quality managers would effectively improve the quality management level to ensure blood safety. Quality managers should be meet the requirements of Blood Station Quality Management Practice,as well as be taken charge by blood station members.
