Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical efficacy of surgical treatment for 23 cases of thoracic and lumbar spinal cord injury without fracture. Methods 46 patients with thoracic and lumbar spinal cord injury without fracture in our hospital were randomly divided into control and observation group.Control group were received conservative treatment. Observation group were received Surgical treatment. The Cobb angle and total effective rate of two groups before and after treatment were compared.Functional recovery was followed up for six months. Results Cobb angle of two groups was decreased after treatment than before treatment(P0.05);Cobb angle of observation group was decreased more sig- nificantly than control group(P0.05);Total effective rate of observation group was 95.7%,which was significantly high- er than that of control group 65.2%(P0.05);Functional recovery of two groups had no significant difference( P0.05). Conclusion Both of two methods can achieve better long-term results. The overall effect of surgical treatment is superi- or to conservative treatment. It′s worthy of clinical widely used.
