Abstract

Arabidopsis seeds were dealed with the different concentrations of ABA and then the ratio of seed germination and seedling development were calculated in order to reavel the effect of ABA on the seeds germination and the seedlings development of the different Arabidopsis genotypes. The results were as follows: abi1 and abi2 were likely to be the negative regulator of ABA signal; The over-expression plants and the T-DNA inserted mutants of the gpa1 gene were not sensitive to ABA during the seed germination and seedling development; a/c,a/g,compared with the wild type, were insensitivity to ABA. From the result mentioned-above,we could conclude that gpa1 was at the upstream of abi1 during the process of seed germination and seedling development controlled by ABA.
