Abstract

The analysis of the change of the care quality of a level 3 specialized hospital which applied attending physician accountability system from 2008 to 2011 by the comprehensive index method showed that its comprehensive care quality index increased year by year.Attending physician accountability system showed positive effects in improving care quality and is worthy of promoting.The comprehensive index method,with its simple way of calculation and clear results,is easy to master and can provide powerful evidence for the decision making to the hospital managers.
