The phacoemulsification for complicated cataract after anti-glaucoma surgery

Objective To explore the clinical effect of cataract phacoemulsification after anti-glaucoma.Methods Thirty-eight patients(43 eyes) with cataract after anti-glaucoma surgery received phacoemulsification,and were followed up for 10～36 months to observe the visual acuity,intraocular pressure,and postoperative complications situation.Results After treatment,the visual acuity of 38 eyes improved and 5 eyes didn′t improve because of optic atrophy.The corrected visual acuity showed lower than 0.1(5 eyes),0.1～0.3(13 eyes),0.3～0.5(17 eyes) and higher than 0.5(8 eyes). There was no significant effect on postoperative intraocular pressure,which was within normal range.No serious complications happened.Conclusion Cataract phacoemulsification after anti-glaucoma surgery can significantly improve visual acuity,have no impact on intraocular pressure and have fewer complications.It′s safe and effective.
