Clinical study on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with sodium hyaluronate

Objective:to observe the therapeutic effect of sodium hyaluronate intraarticular injection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods:55 cases who met the criteria for knee osteoarthritis were received the treatment of intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate,once a week for 5 consecutive weeks.Data of pain and ability of movement in all patients were collected before and after treatment.Results:The cases and the percentages of clinical remission,markable effect,effect and invalid were 22cases(40.00%),29cases(52.73%),4cases(7.27%),the efficacy rate was 92.73%.No serious toxicosis or side effect of the sodium hyaluronate was observed during the period of treatment.Conclusion:For the patients with knee osteoarthritis,it is a perfect procedure by use of the intraarticular injection of sodium hyaluronate.
