Abstract
Objective To report 10 cases of optic canal decompression with transcranial approach for thetreatment of optic nerve injury. Methods Pre-operative duration, optic canal fracture, optic nerve appearance andpre- and post-operative visual acuity changes of 10 cases were discussed with reviewed literatures. Results Visualacuity of 8 cases improved one month after operation, other 2 cases have no improvement. Conclusions Transcrani al approach for optic canal decompression is more effective and safe than the other decompression procedures.
