Abstract
Peregrination,as a normal social phenomenon,is a crucial part of life for those who failed in imperial examination in Tang Dynasty.This phenomenon is caused by imperfection of imperial examination system in Tang Dynasty,bad implementation of relevant policies,peculiar political pattern of Tang and the whole social environment.The massive and chaotic movements of the people who failed in an imperial examination did harm to the stability of society.It also brought much difficulties to economy and daily life of many families.However,these people partly promoted cultural interaction among various places,thus contributing to the prosperous development of the culture in Tang Dynasty.
