Abstract

This paper established a kind of technique to control hydrate in gas wells with the application of downhole choke. This technique was developed due to the problems existed in Daqing placanticline, such as low production of gas wells, difficulty in carrying water, liquid storage in bottom hole, and so on. The field tests proved it was effective. This method can solve the problem caused by water storage, improve production efficiency in gas wells, increase temperature at wellhead and decrease energy loss caused by gas storage.
