Abstract

The operation of gas and gas condensate fields, which are at the final stage of development, is accompanied not only by a decrease in formation pressure, but also by watering of the bottomhole formation zone with condensate and formation water, which leads to a decrease in gas yield and productivity of wells, shortens the operating life of gas-field equipment. At the same time, it is known that gas production companies use various methods to combat water encroachment, including removal of formation water or its insulation. If the first approach only allows to ensure the operation of wells, the second one also reduces hydraulic losses in the collection system, the load on gas treatment equipment, reduces the probability of hydrate formation. Therefore, for the purpose of complex solution of these problems we have searched for technologies to isolate watered intervals of formation. In this connection, for optimal selection of compositions the world experience of measures to limit water inflow in gas and gas condensate wells has been analyzed. And on the basis of geological and technical conditions of Cenomanian deposits in the field under consideration, the following compositions are recommended for use in remedial cementing and water shut-off, relative phase permeability, viscoelastic compositions on the basis of organic polymers, hydrocarbon-based polymer compositions, inorganic and organoelement gel formulations with or without ripening, sand control methods with additional effect of water inflow restriction, emulsion compositions with ripening. The presented results on application of water shut-off technologies have a significant practical significance for gas producing enterprises, as application of the obtained knowledge will allow to increase gas production and reduce costs for field preparation of products. The results of the work will also allow to keep the existing water wells in operation and thus maintain high gas withdrawal rates.
