Abstract
Objective To investigate the phenomenon of heart rate turbulence(HRT) and its clinical significance in advanced aged patients with hypertension. Methods Fifty-Two advanced aged patients with hypertensions and sixty good healthy condition person were chosen.Besides of normal laboratory examination, other items also were done like 24 hours Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) to survey the heart rate turbulence parameters of turbulence onset(TO),turbulence slope(TS) and heart rate variability parameter of SDNN.Results The parameter of TO(3.21±2.01) in very elderly hypertension was higher and the TS was lower(7.0±3.6) than normal reference group obviously. There was statistical significance in difference(P0.01).The SDNN was negative relative to TO and was positive relative to TS.There was no relative between TO and TS.Conclusion If the HRT in very elderly hypertension decreased evidently,it will show that autonomic nervous system of patients was broken greatly.
