Abstract
Based on expert system control strategies, the control rules, restrictive conditions and realization principles of ship's stowage/discharge are presented. By controlling ship floating state, the rate and ability of loading or discharging ballast water can be enhanced to ensure the adaptation of ballast water to cargo operation during the cargo loading. Based on the multiple hierarchy control strategy combining negative inference and positive inference, the ship's stowage plan and loading/discharging turns can be ensured, and the characteristics indexes of loading order, time and ship's floating state etc. in every step during cargo operation can be provided. The accuracy and feasibility of the systems is validated by the calculation for a real ship. The ship stowage plan and operation procedure can be confirmed quickly and reasonably by the method, also the efficiency improved and the blindness avoided during stowage.
