The Effect of Liutiaobian(柳条边)on Ecological Environment of the Northeast Area in the Qing Dynasty

Liutiaobian(柳条边)in the Qing Dynasty was regarded as the demarcation line of the northeastern administrative area.As the result of forbidding any person from exploring and inhabitation in Northeast area in the Qing Dynasty,Liutiaobian designated three economic zones,namely farming area,hunting and gathering area and nomadic area,and thus became the landmark of farming,forestry and animal husbandry of Northeast area.With the building,disrepair and destruction of Liutiaobian,the ecological environment of Northeast area in the Qing Dynasty experienced a process from recovery,development to gradual damage.
