Abstract
Objective To explore the method and the significance of posterior fossa cranioplasty in operation of posterior cranial fossa tumor. Methods The experience with cranioplasty in posterior fossa in 36 cases between 2008~2009 were analyzed. There were three kinds of bone flaps were chosen:median, unilateral, and unilateralital median.Pedicled bone flap was chosen in2 cases. All bone flaps were replaced after tumor resection.Result There was no postoperative complications of chronic fever,cerico-occipital pain or cerebrospinal fluid fistulae. Conclusion The posterior fossa cranioplasty can offer good brain protection and less postoperative complications.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
