DEVELOPMENT OF POUR POINT DEPRESSANT OF WAXY CRUDE

Abstract

In the waxy crude transportation,the pour point depressant injection method can be used to modify rheology of waxy crude at low temperature. This method can realize transportation of waxy crude at normal temperature. The author reviews the historical aspects of development and describes the present situation of pour point depressant at home and abroad. The mechanism of pour point depression category application of pour point depressant is also discussed. Meanwhile, some problems existing in the research and application of pour point depressant are analyzed. The transportation process of waxy crude under the condition of pour point depressant injection is evaluated, and the developing direction of transportation process of waxy crude injected pour point depressant is forecasted.
