Abstract
Fossilization is quite common in second language acquisition.This paper,based on Selinker's theories on interlanguage fossilization,analyses the processes of fossilization,factors that may cause fossilization,and then in reference to problems occurred in Chinese English learners,puts forward some teaching strategies to avoid this phenomena in college English teaching.
