Abstract

The separation of alkaloids using high speed countercurrent chromatography is a common methods which is often taken by people. In this paper we used preparative high speed countercurrent chromatography to separate alkaloids such as berberine ed al.from coptis chinensis franch, phellodendron chinense schneid.,tinospora capillipes gagnep and mabonia bealei(Fort)carr. The general methods to separate is that all chinese herbs is pulverized and soaked with ethanol, then condensed and the filtrate is acidified with hydrochloric acid. Then adjust pH to 10 with sodium hydroxyl and extracted with chloroform. The condensed sample is separated with high speed countercurrent chromatography. The solvent system is mainly composed of tetrachloride, chloroform, methanol and dilute hydrochloric acid. The flow-rate is 2.0 mL/min,the revolution speed is 800 r/min and the sample size 200 mg.The separated fractions are identified with standard samples.
