Abstract
objective: To evaluate the value of the diagnosis in patients with otosclerosis on MDCT preoperatively.Methods: 18 cases with otosclerosis comfirmed by operation underwent MDCT scanning in spiral pattern.All dates conveyed 4.1 worker station and underwent multiplanar reconstruction.Results: all 38 temporal bone were abnormal.18 ears manifested enlargement or narrowness only in vestibular window.Density of Sclerotins around it was lower and base of stapes was higher.8 ears displayed abnormal both in vestibular and cochlear windows simultaneously.10 ears mainly manifested abnormal bone labyrinth around the cochlea,exhibited striped decreased attenuation or double circle.In 3 ears high-riding jugular bulb was found.Conclusion: MDCT with MPR imaging could correctly show the tiny abnormal in the patient with otosclerosis and s-upply intimate informations preoperatively.we could observe disease extent roundly with MPR technique.It could display location and shape of anatomic structures in temporal bone.It has important significance for designing operation plan,prevent complication and increasing curative effect.
