Abstract
Generally speaking,the evaluation of the overall competitive power of the county economy aims at the general social and economic situation of a county.The evaluation should be accurate,reliable,serviceable and dynamic with synthetic analysis method.As to the evaluation index system,such principles as completeness,comparability,representativeness and feasibility should be taken into account with emphasis on the level,vitality and potential for county economic growth.This paper,adopting the factor analysis method,evaluates the competitive power of the county economy of Anhui province involving 27 economic indexes of the counties of Anhui province in the year 2004 and reaches the conclusion that Anhui province has a relatively poor competitive power of county economy.
