Empirical analysis of city technical efficiency in Liaoning with SFA model

Abstract

The paper measures the technical efficiency in Liaoning Province using SFA model,based on the data of cities from 2002 to 2005.The result shows that the overall level of technical efficiency is increasing,and that there are significant differences in the technical efficiency among different cities.It also reveals that the differences have a descending tendency.The paper suggests that the keys of promoting technical efficiency are organization innovation and institution innovation,and then the paper puts forward some advice for promoting technical efficiency.
