Abstract

The book-carving industry of Huizhou had prospered after Wanli period of Ming dynasty,and the reoson is very complex.Pointed in this thesis,there are two extrinsic reasons:the allowance policy about book-carving in Ming dynasty and the substance resource of Huizhou,and two intrinsic reasons:the profound culture bedrock of Huizhou and the subjective management of Huizhou'businessmen.After that,the flourish of the second time in Tongguang period of Qing dynasty only has the comparatively significance.Fine examination and attaching picture are two important characteristics of Huizhou book-carving.
