Abstract
Objective To detect virulence-associated genes of non-gonococcal Neisseria isolated from male genitourinary tracts and survey pathogenesis of non-gonococci Neisseria species. Methods By PCR amplification and nucleotide sequencing, the virulence-associated genes of N.gonorrhoeae, including orf1,nspA,PIA,PIB,opa,iga,pilE genes of 12 strains non-gonococci Neisseria, which were distributed in 6 different species of Neisseria, isolated from the patients with male genitourinary tract infection were detected. Results In the 12 strains of non-gonococcal Neisseria species,8 strains showed positive in the reaction of virulence-associated genes,in which 25.00%(3/12) strains were orf1or opa,16.67%(2/12)strains were PIB and 8.33%(1/12)strains were nspA.The genes of PIA,pilE and iga were not found in the species of non-gonococcal Neisseria. Conclusion The virulence-associated genes orf1,nspA,PIB and opa of N.gonorrhoeae can be detected in the species of non-gonococcal Neisseriae. While the above genes are not the only pathogenic factors for the non-gonococci Neisseriae causing male genitourinary tract infection, and the pathogenicity of the non-gonococci Neisseriae infected male genitourinary tract are responsible for their mucosal parasitic properties and other biological properties.
