Abstract
Objective Analyzing the effect of hydroxyapatite prosthesis implantion in patients with ocular socket sunken.Methods All patients were operated under local or general anesthesia,307 cases were implanted initially and the other 194 cases received secondary planted implantation,the age from 2.5 years to 82 years. Results 480 patients achieved prosthetic motility they attained prosthetic appearance and good healing of conjunctive wound. Postoperative complication include implant exposure in 18 patients,10 cases of them were extracted implants.Conjunctival wound dehiscence in 11 patients,7 cases healed spontaneously,the other 4 cases were managed by secondary suture. Conclusions hydroxyapatite prosthesis was excellent biocompatible meterial without cytotoxicity and allergization.
