Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the status and drug-resistance in nosocomial infections with Klebsiella pneumoniae(KPN) in Renmin Hospital of Yangxin County and provide scientific reference for rational application of antibiotics.METHODS Referring to the National Guide to Clinical Laboratory Procedure,186 KPN strains were isolated and identified. The drug sensitivity testing was performed by K-B methods recommended by CLSI.RESULTS The detection rate of the extended spectrum β-lactamases(ESBLs)-producing KPN was 34.9%.All KPN isolates were sensitive to imipenem. The rates of drug-resistance to cefoxitin,amikacin,piperacillin/tazobactam,and cefoperazone/sulbactam were lower(18.3-21.5%).And that of ampicillin was the highest, reached to 98.4%.CONCLUSION The serious drug-resistance of KPN occurrs.Hospital should take effective measurement to prevent and control nosocomial infections with drug resistant strains.
