Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and safety of low dose antidepressant Deanxit in combination with bifid-triple viable and pinaverium bromide on the gastrointestinal symptoms in patients who suffered from diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(D-IBS).Methods All of 136 D-IBS patients were divided into two groups randomly, each group containing 68 cases(treatment group:Deanxit, pinaverium bromide and bifid-triple viable;control group:pinaverium bromide and bifid-triple viable). The treatment course lasted for 12 weeks, the therapeutic effect and adverse reactions were observed after finishing the treatment course. Results After treatment of 12 weeks, the effective rate of abdominal pain and diarrhea in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group, respectively 98.2% vs 80.8%,94.1% vs 82.4%(P0.05 or 0.01).The total effective rate of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group,92.6% vs 76.5%(P0.01).No obvious side-effects were found in both groups, there was no significant difference of side-effects between the treatment group and the control group 11.8% vs 7.4%(P0.05).Conclusion Low-dose Deanxit combined with pinaverium bromide and bifid-triple viable is safe and effective in treatment of D-IBS patients.
