Retrospect and Outlook: the History of Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port

Both Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port are the two most conspicuous ports in the Yangtze River Delta.These two ports have developed rapidly,and the competition between the two ports has been more and more obvious.Ningbo was inferior to Shanghai in terms of region,and Ningbo Port was once the feeder port of Shanghai Port.However,along with the containerization and the development of major ships,the advantage of Ningbo Port as a deepwater harbor has promoted Ningbo Port to be a competitive rival of Shanghai Port.
