Abstract
On the basis of the labyrinth weir that forefathers study, the paper improves the existing weirs with breaking the traditional rules by combination with the traditional broad crested weir and the labyrinth weir.Through research in depth of hydraulic characteristics, the improved weir discharge capacity and saving construction costs are simultaneous achieve, which could realize the purpose of the increased discharge capacity and efficiency. The paper collects, analyzes and arranges the actual test data and analyzes and discusses the change of the head ratio and the flow coefficient under the condition of the different weir height ratio, the different layout forms, the same broadening ratio and the same width height ratio, which should provide reference for the engineering design or other hydraulic characteristics research.
