The Psychological Analysis of Coerced-compliant False Confession

Coerced-compliant false confession, as one type of false confessions frequently emerging in the police interrogation procedure, is also the main cause producing unjust criminal cases. Although coerced-compliant false confession has something to do with the compliance, suggestibility and the instinctive survival demand of the criminal suspect, the strategy of coercive interrogations adopted by the police has overwhelming influence. There are two valid measures to reduce the coerced-compliant false confession during the interrogation: criminal suspects shall be entitled to the right of defense and the reasonable interrogation rules shall be established.
