Abstract
Objective To study the clinical significance of the changes of plasma BNP 1evels inpatients with heart failure(HF).Methods Plasma BNP levels in 109 patients with HF(NYNAⅡ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ)and 79 controls were determined with rapid fluorescence immunoassay.Results The plasma BNP levels in patients with HF were significantly higher than centrels(P0.01).The plasma BNP levels in patients with cardiac function NYHA-Ⅱ were significantly higher than controls(P0.01).As the cardiac function deteriorated from NYNAⅡ to NYNAⅣ,The BNP levels increased consecutively with significant differences from eacher other(P0.01).The plasma BNP levels is low when HF was cured(P0.01).Conclusion Determination of plasma BNP levels in patients with HF were helpful to the study of the severity and prognosis of disease.
