Effect of Shuweitang on Expression of Gastric Empting,NO and SP in FD Rats

Objective:To observe the effects and mechanism of Shuweitang on the gastric emptying,Nitric Oxide(NO) and Substance P(SP)in FD rats.Methods: Functional dyspepsia models of rats were made by irregularly feeding food and clip tail stimulation method and they were divided randomly into six groups: blank group,model group,high and low dosages of Shuweitang,domperidone tablets and Muxiangshunqi groups.Treatments were offered for 14 days.After the end of the experiment in detection of gastric emptying,nitrate reductase assay for the detection of serum NO content,detected by radioimmunoassay of plasma SP level.Results: Compared with the blank group,the contents of SP and gastric emptying in model groups were obviously decreased(P0.05)and the contents of NO obviously decreased(P0.05),while compared with model group,in the Shuweitang,Muxiangshunqi and domperidone tablets groups increased significantly(P0.05),the contents of NO and gastric emptying increased(P0.05).Conclusion:Shuweitang has the effects of promoting the release of NO,SP and gastric emptying.It can be the mechanism in the treatment of functional dyspepsia.
