EFFECTS OF ERJIN DECOCTION ON GASTRIC EMPTYING AND GASTROINTESTINAL HORMONE OF RATS WITH FUNCTIONAL DYSPEPSIA

Abstract
Objective:to observe the effects of erjin decoction on the gastric emptying and gastrointestinal hormone of rats and study its mechanism. Methods: functional dyspepsia models in rats were made by irregularly feeding food plus diluted hydrochloric acid and divided randomly into 5 groups ——high and low dosages of erjin decoction,domperidone tablets,saline and model groups. Treatments were offered for 28 days. The content of motilin in plasma and gastrin in serum were determined by radiommunoassay.And gastric emptying was observed with phenolsulfonphthalein.Results:compared with that in the normal control group,the content of motilin and gastric emptying in the model groups were obviously decreased(P0.05), while increased significantly in the high dosage of erjin decoction and domperidone tablets groups(P0.05 or P0.01).However,the concentration of gastrin in serum had no significantly difference(P0.05)in all groups.Conclusion:erjin decoction had the effects of promoting the release of motilin and gastric emptying.It might be the mechanism of functional dyspepsia.
