Water,the metaphor of life ——A brief comment on Shen Congwen

Abstract

The phenomenon of spirit is closely related to that of material.Shen Congwen's understanding of life is inseperable from his perception of the natural character-istics of water.The characteristics of water,such as the easy manner,the softness,the mobility and the flexibility,keep coordination with the world of lifeof Shen Congwen,which forms the metaphor of his life.
