Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction and lipid metabolism and carotid artery ultrasound.Method For 59 patients as diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group, and 77 patients as non-diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group.Total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL),blood glucose, carotid artery ultrasound of the two groups were compared. Results Blood glucose,TC,TG,LDL in the diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group increased significantly as compared with the non-diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group(P0.05),while HDL decreased significantly(P0.05).The positive rate of carotid artery ultrasound in the diabetic group was significantly higher than in the non-diabetic group, but it had no statistical significance. Conclusion The percentage of lipid metabolism and glucose metabolism disorders in the diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group are higher than the non-diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction group. The patients with diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction often have abnormal lipid metabolism because of glucose metabolism disorders. We should pay more attention to blood glucose and lipid metabolism.
