THE LAPING ILMENITE PLACER OF MAGMATITE WEATHERING CRUST TYPE OF ERYUAN,YUNNAN

Abstract

The regional high TiO2 value in Laping area is advantageous to the enrichment of ilmenite.According to the comparison between TiO2 contents in 3 main magmatites and ore-bearing ratio of heavy sand sample of placer,we think that the gabbro is the mother rock of ilmenite placer,which is in relation with landform and secondary accumulation condition.
