Study on Geological Characteristics and Its Origin of Tianbao Ilmenite Deposit in Juxian County

Tianbao ilmenite deposit is the first large-type ilmenite deposit which is found and evaluated in Shandong province.It locates in east part of Gongdanshan uplift in Yishu fault belt.Ore bodies are brown-black ilmenite-bearing magne-horblendite,while country rocks are poor gneissic coarse monzonitic granite in Tiaohuayu unit of Aolaishan superunit in Mecezoic Luliang formation.2 ilmenite deposits have been found occurring with the trend of NE.The length of Ⅰ deposit is 1600m,average width is 180m,and controlling depteh is 204m.The length of Ⅱ deposit is 880m,surface width is 150~200m,and the depth is over 100m.Average degree of the two deposits is: TiO_2 is 8.77% and 8.33%;TFe is 18.47% and 17.07%.Resource amount of the two deposits with the type of(331)+(332)+(333) is 10461.6×10~4t,TiO_2 is 905.2×10~4t.The scale of the deposit is large and is easy to explore,and ilmenite,iron and other elements can be used synthentically.
