Community Diversity of Soil Macro-fauna at Different Habitats in the Yamalik Mountain from Urumqi

Abstract

In order to understand soil animal community diversity and ecological distribution,an investigation was made at 6 different habitats(grassland,willow wood,Ulmus forest,poplar forest land,orchard,wasteland) by hand sorting method from September to November in 2011,and the community composition and diversity characteristics of soil macro-fauna at six different habitats were discussed.The results showed that a total of 1 730 macro-fauna individuals were collected,belonging 3 phylia,6 classes,and 19 orders.Among them,Hymenoptera,Coleoptera and Orthoptera were the dominant groups,accounting for 39.08% of the total findings.The others belonged the common groups,accounting for 60.92% of the total collections.Both the dominant groups and common groups consisted of soil macro fauna in Yamalik mountain.The structure and diversity of soil macro-fauna community varied under six different habitats.The order of individuals in soil macro fauna was:grass landorchardWillow forestUlmus forestPopular forestWaste land.The order of groups was:OrchardPopular forest and Willow forestUlmus forest and Grass landWaste land.The were differences of the diversity indices at different habitats.The order of Shannon-Wiener diversity index was:Willow forestOrchardPopular forestUlmus forestGrass landWaste land.The order of Pieluo evenness index was:Willow forestOrchardPopular forestUlmus forestGrass landWaste land.The order of Simpson dominance index was:Waste land.Grass landUlmus forestPopular forestOrchardWillow forest.Aboveground vegetation and soil water content might be main factors leading to these changes.
