Abstract

Objective Evaluation of routine head CT scan of the skull base thin medial orbital wall fracture diagnosis. Methods 63 cases with cranial CT scan of skull base diagnosed thin medial orbital wall fracture underwent orbital CT scanning. Results Of 63 cases in 60 cases diagnosed in the orbital CT on the medial orbital wall fracture, skull base plus conventional head CT scan shows thin medial orbital wall fracture signs include:continuous bone of medial orbital wall disruption, depression, and smash fracture, medial rectus thickening, displacement, herniation of orbital contents, ethmoid sinus effusion, gas and other orbital product. Conclusion Head CT scan of skull base can be used as thin medial orbital wall fracture diagnosis or screening tool.
