Abstract
The indoor bioassay showed that there was no cross-resistance between abamectin and metaflumizone in the Plutella xylostella(L.).Compared with the avermectin-susceptible strain, the field population of Plutella xylostella(L.) from Zhangjiakou developed 23.22-fold resistance to avermectins, which reached moderate resistance level. The results of field trials showed that effect of 24%metaflumizone SC was better than that of 2% abamectin EC,and when it was diluted to 500~1 500 times the control effect was 81.07%~92.07% during 1~3 days after treatment,90.42%~98.15% on the 7th day, still up to 90% on the 10th day.So the 24% metaflumizone SC diluted 500~1 000 times is appropriate to control the resistant Plutella xylostella(L.).
