Abstract

[Objective]The aim was to introduce a new method of extending useful life of virus-free potato tube plantlets.[Method]With potato as experimental material, the seedling by shearing growth good to the top of the tube seedlings with bud stem section to prolong the life of a new method of tube seedlings, seedling with traditional stem tip culture of tube seedlings in seedling time, transplanting survival rate, and form to compare the rate of potato were studied. [Result] The result showed: the new method avoid peeling meristem tip,and the useful life of virus-free tube plantlets increased to 3-5 years, the time of plant formation was advanced by 50 days and sprouting percentage was increased by25%; the transplanting survival rate of tube plantlet was increased by 5% and potato rate was increased by more than 20%,compared with that of traditional tube plantlets with 2 years reproduction. The tube plantlets cultured by this method showed rapid producing, higher sprouting percentage, effective prolonging lifespan and reduce the production cost. [Conclusion]This method provided a new thought in large-scale production of virus-free potato tube plantlets, and it was worthy of reference.
