Abstract
Acrylamide and dicumy peroxide monomers were absorbed into the interlayer of the montmorillonite (MMT).The modified montmorillonites(AM-MMT) were filled into PVC/PE or PVC/PP by means of two-roll to prepare nano-meter composites, and the prepared composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD and DSC. The results indicated that the interlayer distance of the AM-MMT was increased upon interaction, and the composites were of intercalation nano-meter composites. PP composite was more suitable than PE composite for the intercalation of MMT. There were maximums for the tensile strength and impact strength of the nano-meter composites with the increase of the content of AM-MMT. The result of DSC showed the T g was relatively low when the nano-meter composites was well intercalated.
