Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Cdc42 and Rb gene in Kazak's esophageal cancer. Methods The expression of Cdc42 and Rb gene was detected in tissues of 20 cases with esophageal cancer and tumor-adjacent normal tissues by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results The overall positive rate of Cdc42 gene expression was 75% in the tissues of 20 cases with esophageal cancer, and 55% in tumor adjacent normal tissues. The overall positive rate of Rb gene expression was 65% in the tissues of 20 cases with esophageal cancer, and 45% in tumor adjacent normal tissues. Conclusions It is suggested that the cell apoptosis and cell cycle resulted from the abnormal expression of Cdc42 gene affects the occurrence of Kazak's esophageal cancer.Rb gene expression is less importmant in Kazak's esophageal cancer than in other ethnic group.
